I have yet to see a Version 3, Variation 9. Has anyone ever seen one? They must be rare.

They show up fairly often for a knife of that age.

Keep an eye on the big auction. The 3rd/9th is easy to spot since it is the only 110 with a stamp on the right side. I would guess one shows up at least once a month.

Hi,
I've had more 8's but their is no shortage of 9's , be sure to check yours close the square spring was used in it sometimes, Mr Houser said their are two types one has a round or bar end in the butt spacer, the other is all square, they made more version 3 var. 9's than version 4 var.1's,with a square spring, I've only found one in about 200 pounds of 110's, thats right up to date, with in the last month Joe has been working hard on it, there is a very big collector who sent him some to take apart and look at that's where I got the info , but I'm sure it's correct. George God bless
