All About Pocket Knives

Here's the Camillus 1047 knives I have.In the picture it new(top) to old (bottom ).
The fourth one down has pinns in the handle besides the rocker pin.The only other kniives that have pinns to hold the handle is the bone.The two bone handle at the bottom one has the etch on the blade.Non of these knives have a number stamp on them like the Camillus 72 .
If you have any different to these could you post them please.

I went and dug out my pile to see which Scouts I have and discovered I don't have a double line. I went over to eBay, found one at a pretty decent BIN price and now I have one or at least have one that should be on the way come Monday. It looks like the knife is in pretty decent condition except for the blades. I don't think there's any pitting so one of the knife mechanics should be able to give it a fluff & buff job and bring it up to almost factory condition. We'll see sometime next week.

That's a very nice group you have there Grant. Now you need to look for one with a bail. CAMW3G, BSA #1047. Same as the CAMW3F, but with bail on end opposite shield. Made 1970-1979.

Jerry if you go to this site and down to the 1047 .There seems to be more than I have seen.They are missing the bone handle and short line.

That's the web site where I got the information about the 1047 with a bail that I posted a couple of posts up. If you look at the first picture of the 1047s, I believe it was contributed by our very own Philco. I just sent a PM to him asking if that's him. I've tried to contribute pictures of the bone handle 1047 with the blade etch to that site but can't get a response from them.

Never. But I keep looking.

Jerry they list 2 knives .One with a removerable bail
CAMW3B, BSA #1047. This is identical to the CAMW3A, but with the addition of a removable bail on the end opposite the shield. Produced 1947-1969.




CAMW3G, BSA #1047. Same as the CAMW3F, but with bail on end opposite shield. Made 1970-1979.
