All About Pocket Knives

I know this is somewhat obscure; I've never seen much on this topic, though.

I thought I'd share what (little) I know from observation regarding the early-type 112 sheath, a.k.a. "low rider" sheath.
There were 2 types made: the first type is for the more narrow-bodied 2 pin 112s; and, the second type is for the 3 pin bodies.

I've included pictures from all sides to show the differences, as well as the similarities.
Clearly, both sheaths are low riders. But, the early model sheath is distinctly smaller. My earliest example is rough... It came with my micarta-handled 112 so, I didn't complain. The second type came with my ebony-handled .112.

(If this has already been covered, mea culpa; I missed it if it has.)
If anyone (300bucks, et al?) has additional pictures & information, please share.

I wish Buck would come out with the low-rider I wear the short lenth Carhartt and low-rider hangs below the jacket for easy one hand access

I definitely agree! I think the Buck Leather Shop would discover there exists quite a demand for their low-rider sheaths.

Really, it's their own fault -since they made those early 110s and 112s to last for generations.
