All About Pocket Knives

Here is a Remington Bullet copy that has a lot of issues. Remington bullet knives are some of the most often counterfeited knives. This one is not too hard to spot but any Remington bullet that is claimed to be an original pre-1941 knife deserves extra scrutiny.

Jigged bone handles are off color and pattern for Remington.

Should be a stag handled knife as denoted by R1306 instead of bone.

Handle rivets are too large, peened instead of spun and appear to be copper. There are extra rivets near the too large lanyard tube.

Pattern stamp shows the outline frame of the modern stamp that was used to mark the blade.

Remington logo stamp has round letters and is very irregular.

Back spring sits up inside the liners when blade is closed.

Back of blade does not match up well with back spring when blade is open. Blade opens past 180 degrees.

Blade looks like stainless steel instead of carbon with expected patina.

It looks cobbled to me.

Funny !! The sellers E-Bay name is "BarracudaGuy" that tells you something right there. I'm not judgin..I'm just sayin'.

I suggest people comment ONLY on the knife, not what you think about BarracudaGuy's intentions or morals.

One thing I see is obviously different, is the number, and position of the handle pins. Also the pins on the stag 1306 are spun, on the BarracudaGuy's knife they're peened.

The bullets look different, the tang stamp on BarracudaGuy's bone handled knife looks very deep, not old and worn. The nail nicks and blade profiles also look different. The lanyard hole material seems brass on the OP knife, and steel on the stag handled 1306. The bolsters are different too.
