All About Pocket Knives

Here ya go Royal.these are my watch pocket Ryder's all do there jobs well but for my Carrhartts watch pocket I prefer my Schrade 108ot and my Western whittler.

The Schrade 108OT was my only carry for quite a few years. I don't recall ever needing anything larger.

Here is one I used to carry for awhile on a belt sheath;too big to fit into a pocket.Note the thickness of the laminated wood scales.Really comfortable knife to use surprisingly.

I carried a 108OT (and the same knife in an Uncle Henry) everyday from sometime in the fall of 1983 until I lost the last one (the Old Timer) on a jobsite in the spring of 2005. My search for a replacement eventually led me into the knife collectors world; I found a couple of USA made 108OT to replace my originals, but I finally decided to go a little bigger, preferring a 3-3/8" to 3-1/2" knife for EDC nowadays. This one stays in my car and finds it's way into my pocket when I forget to slip a knife in my pocket prior to leaving for the day. OH

These are the only ones under 3 I have. Both Colonials. Both go to church on Sundays often.

There's some fine looking knives here for sure. But I just can't do it. I've tried to like the little fellers, but I just can't. I struggle to use a 3 1/2 inch knife. I can appreciate them but 3 7/8 is where it starts to get good, 4 inch is real nice, and 4 1/4 is plumb holy.

I do like looking at them little fellers though!

There sure are some nice knives shown so far.
For me, I like smaller knives from time to time. When I saw sub 3" knives I thought "Oh Boy, I gots a ton of em". Well, it aint' true.
Sub 3" means no three inch knives, which drastically reduced my inventory. It's actually an interesting cut off point.
So ....... I got these ten.

Found this little gem tucked into a corner of a display case at an antique shop I don't visit often.Old large letter KA-BAR logo;jigged black comp scales and pretty full blades;minimum of rust which was easily removed.Eight bucks.
