Nothing right about it. Wrong bone, terrible stamps.

Seems like there are lots of fake cotton samplers out there in various brands.

Sold for $610??????????? RU kidding me?

It's the same seller as the first knife. I wonder if the first $610 buyer realized it was fake and returned it?

Yes, sir; and this too was my presumption as it certainly appears to be the same knife.

For what it’s worth, I too want to thank you for starting this thread as it allowed me to confirm my initial impression.

Oh brother, that's the worst job I've ever seen and I don't even know much!

Looks like someone took a blade from a Bulldog CS then ground the tang down and restamped with these lousy Case markings. Then put it into this handle and frame.

Hell, a blind squirrel would know that thing was as fake as a plastic acorn!

The seller now has this at that bottom of his page;

here is a nice Cotton Sampler pocket knife. it is marked W.R.Case & Sons but it was NOT made by Case. knife is a reproduction / knock off. that being said it is a nice knife with excellent half and full stops, strong snap, no wobble and 4" closed. has one small spot on back of blade.* again this is NOT a knife made by Case.* we use paypal.
