Cattaraugus Office Knife

I saw a Catt office knife today while perusing our favorite auction site.

It was in great condition. Had the usual ivoroid handles and "Office Knife" etch on the front.

The tang on the ink eraser blade, however, was plainly stamped, "FLESH ONLY".

So, did they just use a common spey blade or was the ink eraser to be used on vellum only? ::shrug::

That was tongue-in-cheek, for which there is no emoticon.

Very good Charlie! Seriously they probably used the same blade for their rooster nutters that was used in the office knives;or it may have just been an error in assembling. I've never seen a Catt office knife so I am just postulating.

Good one, Charlie!
I am putting office knives on eBay soon and one of them is a Cattaraugus with the 'spey' blade stamped like that. Best guess is that they just used the same blade that they used in their stockman patterns.
