Catering to those odd shapes

It seems that alot of my favorite patterns do not lend themselves to storage in "conventional" rolls, folders and the like. One of these patterns being the hawkbill and rope knife, they just don't seem to do well in rolls and folders. Most of the closed rolls I have seen, the slots are too narrow to facilitate the wide nature of the hawkbill. I have been trying to find a good way to store my hawkbill collection, I didn't want to display it (yet), and boxes just didn't "cut it" for me. I thought up an idea and had a lady friend sew me up some closed rolls. This one is terry cloth, holds 12 hawkbills or rope knives, rolls up easily and protects them very well, all that's left to do is add a leather ID tag. I'm having her make me a couple more for buck 110s and 112s another for hawkbills and one for "regular" slippies.

I like your idea really well. They sell silicon treated roll ups that I use but these are much better in that you can customize the pocket to fit any knife.

The sack rolls I use would not work on a hawkbill that's for sure. A good idea there, thanks for sharing, I have some oddball shaped and sized knives where this would be real handy.

Now that made me think....
Go to knife show and sleep in hotel.
Then use hotels towel to carry home your new knives in.

Very nice MM,
A great idea that needs to produced by Muskrat Man Productions and then marketed to the knife buying public.

Ya know sunburst, me and the lady were discussing that today. I think I have her talked into making some for marketing. She finished me a 25 knife roll for small (stockman, trapper, rats andsuch) last night, and finished the ones for my buck 110's today.

Well, it's final. These will hold approx (not positive yet) 12 knives, they will hald hawkbills, toenails, smaplers, rope knives ect comfortably. They will either be black or dark green. $10 each plus shipping. There will also be a narrower model in two "depths" one shorter for conventional spliipies, the other deeper to hold folding hunters, buck 110s and similar sized knives, these will also hold a dozen knives each. If you have custom needs, email and we'll see what we can do.
Bryan, if you feel this would fitthe classifieds more appropriately please feel free to move it.
