After posting a Roberson Old Timer Knife I was told it was probability put together from parts. So what I did was purchase a second knife with cracked handles to dismantle to see if these knives where factory assembled. They are factory assembled with the Swindon System only used by Imperial Knives mainly in the Ulster and Schrade knives .The knife pictured was made from 1960 to 1966 .( few of these knives where purchased from a collection by a member of AAPK ) I dont know if this knife was made before or after Robeson Closed .All I know it has a Robeson tang stamp.
It is probability one of those un-explained knives as the factorys did not keep good records 45 to 50 years ago.
