A Camillus 69 like I've never seen!

I'm no expert by far, but I've got a few Camillus 69's. Thus is the first I've ever seen like thus. Bone scales, jimping on the top, dividers on top that are jumped, and jimping on the bottom on the center and sides. Plus it had nail nicks on opposite sides for the clip and sheepsfoot.
Oh, and it's a short line too! So is it as Cuz told me, '46-'50? I have another bone, long line with identical jimping, and I'm calling it pretty darn close to '50? I'm thinking this one might be closer to the '46 end.

Nice knife!
I have one like it, though your blades may be a tad fuller.

Awesome! This is the first I've seen with the center liners on top, and the first with the nail nicks like this. Reckon these were pretty early short line variations, or do you think all the short lines were like this?
The old bone is DRY and it's shrunk some. I think I'm going to baptize it in mineral oil for a while.

Wade they had a name for them I cant remember what they are called but they are just a bit better made than the standard line. The had a 72 made the same way and some others. Jerry had told me what they called them but it is lost to me now.

Phillip, you're thinking about the deluxe designation I think. All 69's were deluxe, but how deluxe changed over the years. This one, and Dale's, are the "most deluxe" I've known of.

Yes they are. I'm pretty much put off by the Stockman pattern but the #69s really trip my trigger.

Well I'm pretty much addicted fellers. Three delrins and three bone handled ones so far.
I find the most interesting thing about them is the difference in the jimping patterns over the years. So far I have two different jimping patterns in the bone years, and two or three (if you count no jimping) in the delrins.
If I get ambitious this week I'll get them all out and take pics for you. Cuz I swear they're more addictive than 72's.

You have an addictive personality there Cuz. Don't ever buy a Camilus #14 or you will be in even deeper motor oil.
