I have one and REALLY like it. It's just a great knife. The only thing that I like better on USA Kershaws is the flipper. It's a blade tang extension that sticks out the back past the handle when the blade is closed. You can push that piece with the index finger and with the assisted opening action it pops open like an auto.
The blur is assisted opening as well but only when using the thumb stud.
My most favorite USA Kershaw right now is the Knockout which is more of the size of a Blur and has the flipper and thumb studs with assisted opening
That's my two cents, for what it's worth.
Red and black knife is a Blur.
In the second picture of three knives, the KnockOut is in the middle.

LOVE THE KNIFE!
only issues i see/have.............
1-not a flipper
2-the grippy inserts- they are so rough-(like asphalt) they eat pocket edges.....
never loose it though..............

My nephew has a Blur..he loves it!
I've handled it a few times, and if seems like a great knife. Slim, pocket friendly, unique blade shape with the slight recurve. I like the grippiness of the handle myself, makes it feel secure in the hand. Opens smooth and locks up solid. The assisted opening works great, only thing that would improve upon the knife is if it had a flipper style deployment instead of the thumbstud. If you are a thumbstud kinda dude though then that shouldn't be a problem!

Here's another to throw into that size range with the flipper, assisted opening and made in the USA. The Piston has really been catching my eye.
Now one of you guys get one and i'll trade you out of it

Just a suggestion........take a look at the Kershaw Blackout and compare it to the Blur. Similar blade and features without the highly abrasive texturing on the handles.

Welcome to the dark side John. I love all of the USA speed safe knives. Hard to beat them for a fast one handed EDC.

My only real expierence with speed safe is a ZT301 and I couldn't be more impressed. Not only is it well built and easy to adjust KAI is great to work with. It developed a rattle when open so I asked them if it would void the warranty if I dismantled it and fixed the noise. They not only said it would be ok to do they sent me a package free of charge with every screw, washer, pivot parts and torsion bar so I could put it back together looking like new. What a piece of cake this was to do.They also said if I wanted to I could just send it in for them to do the work and sharpen the blade. IMHO KAI is a first class maker of hard use knives.
