OK, what i know o far. It was made sometime between the 40's and 60's It has a genuine bone handle. I would like a ballpark of its value (not for sale) On the back side of blade it has the identification #'s of 51251/2 with either a 0 or D under said numbers. any help or info would be greatly appreciated. btw i have searched long and hard on websites auctions blogs you name it & 51251/2 dosent show up number that identifies the style 251/2 shows up nowhere

That is model 5125 1/2. It has stag handles not bone. Post a better pic of the tang stamp please, looks like a 1989 stamp to me.

D. hemp, please notice that the "s" in both case and usa is what is known as the lightning "s", therefore signifying that it is from the 1980's manufacture. Hope this helps, Tim

The numbers on your knife indicate 5 for stag, 1 for number of blades, 25 for the pattern # which is a small coke, and the 1/2 "one half" is the style of the blade, which is a clip blade. The D below the number is for Damascus I would assume.
The other guys already advised that with the lightning bolt S that dates it in the 1980's.

First off , welcome to the forum.

Man, my eyes are going, I can't see a damn thing of the stamp in the pics. I trust the ither guys eyeballs though. No matter. The rest of the knife provides all the details needed.

Shield and stag are not old school that was used. Secondly, yes, the "D" means Damascus which was only used on CASE knives starting in 1989' on some patterns. Bottom line, can't be older than 1989'.

Regards, jerry

The value of any knife is at very least in it's utility. So worthless? No.

Looks like it could stand some cleaning up. Not a bad little knife.
