Is the pommel pinned on or peened on?
As I understand it, Ka-Bar ceased production of the 1219C2 after WWII and didn't resume production until the 1975-1976 time frame. The new ones are the ones you see with the sheaths stamped with USMC and the Marine Corps Emblem.
As to value, all knives are valued by rarity, desirability and condition - condition - condition. If yours is a genuine WWII Ka-Bar (and I don't know enough about them to judge one way or the other) it's desirable but since they are not extremely rare, it would come down to condition, condition, condition.

About 6 or 7 months ago Knife World had a complete article about K-Bars. Maybe you can research their website for info. If I get some time this week I'll find it here and try to give more info.
