Posted some pictures of what is purported to be a Case issue. For the KKK. Is it factory?

Not sure but I would guess if someone (KKK) paid for a special factory order Case may have made it for them.

It's on auction on GB. No photos of tang stamps.

Keep in mind that sometimes CASE or other companies sold knives that were etched or customized after they left the factory by a third party. I personally do not know for sure if all the KKK etch, picture, placard and presentation box were factory or not.
I can personnally say that if CASE did make this knife as an SFO purely for dollars, what is next? NAMBLA etched knives? And I am not referring to North American Black Lawyers Asssociation either. I would be cool with that type of SFO, just personally not this one.

I would bet this is aftermarket...
I would think any company would probably lose more business than they could make dealing with such a controversial and racist organization.

No offense taken. I was very surprised to see it on auction. I didn't mean to offend anyone here by posting, purely looking for opinions on originality.

I thought it might be aftermarket for the same reasons.

The shield and tang stamp looks like the 90's. I am leaning more towards it being completely after market etching, box etc.

I can't speak for this one but I have a similar one that was allegedly made for SMKW.I also had a Bertram many years ago that was similarly marked and I gave it to my brother.

Hey Steve, you were just asking a question so no offense taken. Just sad situation to see a "hate" knife in my opinion, aftermarket or not. I have very thick skin and I am a white boy, but just pinches a nerve in me.

Sadly, knife7knut, I could see that SMKW might actually go there, for the almighty dollar. I hope I am wrong and this is some aftermarket twisted thing. I heard SMKW has/had one of the SS Nazi displayed in their facility. Here is a link to the thread...

On this post, a member says he visited the SMKW facility to find a display of a Utica SS knife with associated Third Reich memorabilia at SMKW. Real or not, a shameful display in my opinion. We are not talking about a museum display here to capture history uncensored. Displayed at the factory, real odd in my opinion. Hints of more of a "shrine" to me! Just my opinion. Can someone explain to me if there is some connection between Utica and SMKW? If no connection, an even worse twisted idea to display.
Not sure where my Dad got it, probably as a gift from someone whom had no sense, my Dad's side of the family is German, but I am in possession of an identical OP knife posted in the topic link above. Have yet to dispose of it but will as soon as I figure out the best way to eradicate this vile item, be it fake or authentic. Maybe I should start a poll on the disposal method of this POS. .223 or .308 round? Complete dismantle? 20 pound sledge" Bury in the desert?

If in fact SMKW had this display and production of the OP knife, I certainly will not do business with them nor did I plan to anyway as I like older CASE knives.

When I see a Case knife from that time period it doesn't surprise me all that much. Just add the owner of Case at the time with the after market blade etchings and it's a simple 1+1= this type of product. Anything for a dollar. Pandering at it's worst
