All About Pocket Knives

I just got in this awesome S & M Trapper, and let me tell ya this baby is sweet!
By far the smoothest Trapper I have ever handled. The lines on the blades are perfect, and slightly out of the ordinary. With it's very nice well balanced stag scales, and an overall great finish, this is a very impressive knife.
I have 20-30 Case trappers; from 1st model XXs to 10 dot knives, and they don't hold a candle to this, IMO. The bottom bolster on this knife looks very much like a 1st model Case.
With every S & M knife I receive I'm more impressed, I only wish I had started collecting them sooner.

Hey gmusic, fantastic addition, very nice...That is some great looking stag you got there..Your additional comparison commentary was really appreciated, I have always wondered if S&M stacks up well against those fine Case knives from the era you mentioned.

I love my Case knives and all don't get me wrong, they make a fine knife. Could be the candle remark was a little over the top.

How about, S & M is a notch above the rest. There, that sounds better; of course there are various sized notches! Oops, I did it again...........

I'm just very excited to buy a trapper of this quality for under $80.00 bucks.

In all fairness I do not have a modern Case Trapper. Can anyone out there do a side by side of the two and let us know what ya think?

nice knife. wow. our texas steers are a lot bigger than that oklahoma sample. unless that's a mighty big trapper!
