is there much demand for cherokee knives ? thinking about buying some didnt know if I could resale them. could not find much info on them

Isn't that a Coleman brand?
If so...I've had a very nice blue bone Coleman Congress with AUS-6 blades in my store for $20...and haven't had a nibble. So, going by that, if it is a Coleman brand, I'd say absolutely ZERO interest would about cover it.

Mr. johnnie,

I only know that they are made in one of the Japanese factories...

...never seem to have much luck figuring out WHO exactly makes any of the Japanese knives.

Cherokee was one of many brands by Stewart Taylor. Others were Bear Creek and Elkhorn. Not of exceptional quality or collectibility.

Sidebar: My favorite Taylor Cutlery knife was the ElkHorn 'Shark'. Just a simple little thing with a sheepsfoot style blade. Lo and behold, Stewart Taylor brought this design back, under the Schrade Old Timer brand, now calling it the 'Land Shark'.

same guy who uses this forum as a reference to his research as a selling point. i can't find a post or a member by the names he gave. solingen steel on the blade does not mean made in germany.

According to Mr. Frost's website, he began collecting knives in 1969...sooooooo, there would seem to be some type of timeline issue...NO??
