A question about Tony Bose Case Knives. I see some TB knives really well made and $300 to $450+
price range and then some of lesser quality and in $100 and below price range. I wanted to know
what part TB has in these two different qualities of knives? Does Case just use his name on some
or does he contribute to design on the both the high and lower quality knives? Some even has his
name etched on the master blade.

Harold;
There are two different "grades" so to speak of TB knives. The high end TB knives are the ones that are made in limited runs, one pattern per year. These were designed by Tony Bose and have more attention to detail in manufacturing including hand finishing and pinned shields. Very limited quantities.
The other "grade" are knives that are in the Case standard product line but were
designed by Tony Bose. These patterns are made year after year not limited. Manufacturing is similar to other standard case patterns including tumble polished blades, glued shields, etc. Examples include the TB6339 sowbelly and the sway back jack.
I really do not keep up with Case's new products so someone else can fill in more details, but that gives you the basic idea.
