antique Swedish barrel knife question

from allt he barrel knives I have looked at on here and on ebay, plus a few other sights, I have yet to look at one that has a serrated edge on top of the blade for cutting wood etc.


is this a very rare knife? it is a friends, who inherited it from his grandfather. and is reported to have belonged to his great grandfather.
this is old, but in very good shape.

oh ...and i bet the serrated top....is more likely a fish scaler ::shrug::
