New Life for an old Camillus-Before and After

As you can see the Camillus #19 Muskrat had some issues, mainly 2 broken blades. Dale said he could provide some Western blades that would replace the Camillus blades. So the knife went to Oregon and Doctor Orvet did his thing! This old girl might have to be classified as a "Frankenknife" but she walks and talks and will be in the EDC, "going to town group" ::nod:: . Thanks Dale, good job!

Edit: I should have had the knife turned around in the repaired picture to show same scale pattern and slope of bolsters as 1st pic ::facepalm::

She looks brand new now. Purty!

Now, get to work wearing those blades down like the old ones...

Nice save--Dale is pretty handy with repairs--my neighbor kid has a Schrade frame knife Dale stuck a Klien & Sons sheepsfoot lookin blade in I suspect he ground it out of a screw driver blade--

That is why I put my initials & the year repaired, (13), inside on the mark side liner. ::nod::
