All About Pocket Knives

I have a Puma White Hunter with the number 6377 on the blade. There is no numbers or date codes on the the guard. As I understand it Puma started date coding their knives in 1964. Would my knife be an early one then? I believe I picked it up in the 70's sometime. Any information will be greatly appreciated!

That is correct.
Your knife was made before October, 1964 if there is no 5 or 3 digit control number.
