Sorry Johnnie, been waitin to see yours and she looks mighty fine to me. Man I really like this particular pattern of theirs.
So I got a couple comin in the 2 last offerings. Plus 1 of the UN-X-LD Herringbone Walnuts. You guys have convinced me to jump on it.
The other reason is, this is a true startup company and my 1st chance to get in on the ground floor since I started collecting. Appreciate all the posts and pics everyone has contributed. Just think I would kick myself for not tryin some.

Congrats Johnnie, what I can see from the picture is that she is a real beauty. I must agree with you, the 2006 is a wise investment. Many may be kicking themselves 10 years down the road for not grabbing a bunch. But the bad comments did a favor for those that really wanted them. People on the edge didn't buy them, leaving some for us at this rather late date. Congrats, looks like you got a winner.

Here's one I picked up at the gun and knife show in Nashville today. #73
UN-X-LD Herringbone 3 3/4, from a fine gentleman there, Mr. Ben Gray.
Bought several Schatts from him in the past. To get to hold this in your hand, I can only tell you I did'nt let go of it. Have several others comin but could'nt pass this up.
You guys are right again there is nothin like these knives.
Walk and talk is great and finish is incredible great half stops. This particular knife is better done than some of my Queens and that is sayin somethin.
Johnnierotten, held one of those smooth bone GECs like yours and would've bought it but out of money. Man thats a great big snapper son.
I think this company is well on their way to makin history now IMO.

Congrats on your new knife. I have 29 of these knives now and there have been a few bummers along the way (I had 2 real bad ones that look fantastic now after rework). I wanted to get a full set for myself and one for my son who graduates from High School next year with plans of college. I have one set complete and need just the 3 3/4 inch Northfield in Burnt Stag. (yes, the most popular one). I have just about all of them here now and there are some real gems in there. Yes, my knife money for several months is gone now, but my son is a good kid, I'm proud of him.

So, I'm on the lookout for the 3 3/4 inch Northfield in Burnt Stag.

Congrats on your new GEC, if you really like it, give them a call, just use the phone number on the tube and tell them you appreciate what they've done. They were sure happy when I called about how good their rework came out, and surprised. We all know they've gotten complaints, so, go ahead and make their day. Let them know how they are doing and what you think. Only takes a miniute and it will make their day. Tell them Hukk sent you, ole Darrell thought it was a good idea. If a knife is less than perfect everyone calls them. Likewise, if you love it and it exceeds your expectations, well then let them know also.

Congrats to all you new GEC owners, I think they will just get better.

I think I need to get my son and I each one of these for an EDC. They are good knives, keep some as collectables and 1 each with 1095 of course for a user. May as well carry steel I like. Call me old fahioned, but I'd rather carry a slip joint than anything else. I does look good the second time around, OK, better!

Hey Johnnie, using a Canon Powershot SD1000, 7.1 mega pixels.
and of course the Macro feature as you know. Its taken a while to get the distance and focus down. I go w/ auto focus, macro, Superfine, 1600x1200.

Well, I did'nt know if that would help or not Johnnie, ya know everybody's
camera is different. But if it did I'm glad. Took a long time to find all the right settings, frustrating man but I think I finally got it, now, if I can just keep the 15 year old away from MY camera
