Flap wheel

Does anybody know what is the best grade for removing rust from blades using a flap wheel. Or what are the best grades to have as far as finishing a blade. Thanks for any help.

Invest in a Scotchbrite wheel, they're expensive, but you'll get killer results with 'em!

HEHE very true whenever you figure out what grade you need 
You will find yourself needing more than one so go for the tweener first. You can do a lot with the fine/very fine but they can go bye bye fairly fast. If you have spindles and want to remove quite a bit of rust/dirt and then take it to a satin finish there is a company in the UK that sells on ebay (Iforget the name right now) who will send you a med. and a fine scotchbrite like wheel 6"x3/4 for around $15 have it to ya in about 1 week which is faster than the Texas ebay sellers can get a package up here to Oklahoma 
but they get small fairly fast and double that if you are hittting the edges. They're not the flap wheel type though... kinda braided meshy like... Here http://www.ebay.com/itm/300515499930?ss ... 1423.l2649 These will get ya down the road a ways affordably........... I Guess I was wrong on dimensions .... 
I bought a very fine 3M flap wheel because of cost and wish I would have shelled out more for a Mediumish grade.......... Best of luck
