All About Pocket Knives

I just bought a R7825 and in my book it says its supposed to have pyramite handles. Mine does not, it has buffalo horn handles, is there any way Remington could have put another style of handle on these knives? I own quite a few of old circle Remingtons and I cant tell that this one has been rehandled.

7 is ivory or bone maybe special order. Really nice looking knife.

Thank you! I cant tell that its been replaced or messed with in any way. I heard this, don't know if its true or the count of how they did this. Would they have made 1 say horn handle for ever 400-500 pyramite (just guessing on numbers)?

kitt, Beautiful knife. I have been looking over my books without much
luck of proving anything about your R7825. The last figure denotes
handle material used. 0=Genuine English Buffalo Horn. 0-Buf=Genuine
Gray Buffalo Horn. This you probably know. Maybe a factory error.
Possibly a blade change years ago. I want it to be right!! The
Remington Collector may chime in, he will know more than anyone
else.

Its hard to be 100% sure just by looking at the pictures, but I'd say that its be rehandled. The center pin head looks a tiny bit larger than I would expect to see, and the fit at the bolsters is not exactly perfect. You might open all the blades , shine a bright light down in the frame and examine the pins from the inside, you can usually see evidence if they have been replaced.
