Ok... I'm definitely not a pro, but no one can say I'm not trying.

Before I add this to list on the site, I would like to make sure it is worthy. Your opinions and some constructive critisism / suggestions would be most appreciated.

One thing that you did not address is the rapidly increasing value of some of the patterns of companies that have recently gone out of business. While most of this is a short lived (I think) phenomenon, it is none the less a good investment strategy. I purchased a few Beckers just before Camillus closed. I am shocked at the prices they are currently bringing on ebay.

This type of investing takes a more in depth knowledge of the knife market & of the company than the average casual collector has. But, for those who know the market, it can be quite lucrative in the short term.

Personal, knife collecting is a hobby that I enjoy immensely. I enjoy collecting, & trading, not selling.

I suppose my children will have one heck of a garage sale!

Great podcast, Bryan! It focuses a few things for me, and happily justifies my regular buying habits. I bought some high quality Case knives years ago, and they are easily keeping up, and surpassing your projected returns but more important, I can look at and handle them any time I want!!
Please bring us some more of your opinions!!

Next time I'll try to find a more interesting topic and try to be more succinct. I should have included some stuff about Schrade, Cammillus, Case Classics, older Bulldogs, etc... I do think the concept relates.
