All About Pocket Knives

Just getting into really liking the "Moose" pattern knives, but can't find much about the Queen City #52's on the web. (plenty of info on the Case 6275 Moose). Gathered that it is probably carbon steel and it has a tang stamp that duplicates the original Queen stamps. Haven't seen one in the e-bay listings but haven't looked at all the lists. Does any one know what years this knife was made, couldn't find it on the Queen site?

Another forum I seen has it listed 2005-2006 I can't be for sure.

I don't know the year it was made and I didn't research it. I just wanted to chime in on how nice that knife is . I love the way queen grinds and profiles their blades especially their clip blades and their schatt and morgans even moreso. I too love moose patterns.

I think that's probably pretty accurate. 200x anyway. I'm pretty sure that Queen City tang stamp is a recent revival.

........found it, smkw stock no. is Q50SG, but it's currently out of stock!!..swamp grass bone handles!!.............. ......................

It's such a good looking knife, I can't seem to stop staring at it. I almost wish I'd bought it for myself.

Edit: Tommy -- The one Phil got is a step above that one. His is almost S&M level.

Just checked out the SMKW site that carrmillus mentioned. Surprisingly they have a larger variety of Queen knives pictured than the actual Queen site. The "swampgrass" moose has 4 pins per side and does have a unusual "hump". I believe the Queen City #52 is the same frame as the #49 Stockman, it is the same length and pinned the same. Here is the stag moose next to a #49 (1958-60 tang stamp)stockman. The frames look identical. There is supposed to be another Moose on the way, it is a Queen with the derlin winterbottom scales.

carmillus, ease over to General Knife Discussion, under the "stag party you are invited", pg. 25 and check out the pile side of this Moose. I can't help it but I got to brag a little bit !
