All About Pocket Knives

Not much talk about the 68 pattern Pony Jack, and maybe it's just been overlooked due to the plethora of recent GEC offerings, but it is a sweet, unassuming, superbly designed and executed piece of pocket cutlery built for a lifetime of use. I'm giving one away. Yup, check the advertisement forum.

Yep, the pony jacks are first rate and on par with other all steel knives like the boys knives and the eurekas. Some thought the spear blades would be snapped up quickly because they only made 25 of each spear variation (and 50 of the clips..I think). It seems like people get more excited about the knives that were first done as SFOs. The boys knife was boosted by the Charlow and the Eureka from the Champlin knives. Maybe people don't realize how much different these are from the white owls: much stronger springs.

Really promoting the Ponys here, but I should add than I have one of the ebony and each of the bone colors. I think the rusty red looks much better in hand than it does on GEC's promo pics. Their pics make it look crudely jigged with uneven dyeing..not so, on the ponys, I may even like the rusty red better than the antique yellow.
