Colonel Coon - Old Cutler

Found this article a while back and then ran across these knives and knew right away what they were.

Apparently these knives fell out of the production process and were never finished. They don't have the bolsters on them and some of the blades are full thickness. Blades may be marked with dates or pattern numbers? Interesting process on the production; a pin was put through a hole in the liner and then through the blade on the other side the pin was mushroomed to hold it in place. I'm guessing the other hole in the ends is where the bolsters were pressed unto the liners. I've probably had well over a hundred knives apart and never seen any other knife designed like this. It's for sure this Colonel Coon and Old Cutler are made from the same mold.
