Hello from a nascent Camillus-phile

I've been lurking here long enough and I decided it was time to actually join up and take part in this forum. I recognize some familiar names from other forums.

Briefly - my name is Nate, I'm from Massachusetts and I really like Camillus knives. It's only in the last year or so that I've owned any Camillus pieces but they have struck a certain chord in me and it seems I'm set on them. Here's a picture of my small group.

The 27 electrician was the first one I got. It's a great toolbox/workshop knife for me and I have a fondness for the TL-29 style pattern overall.

The rope/lifeboat knife and the swell end jack are my older examples. Rope knife has a 4 line stamp. Swell end has a 3 line stamp on the pen blade and a 4 line on the main blade. It's one of my favorite knives and gets carried regularly.

The last two are from the Federal Knife Co. and Kent brand labels. It impresses me how well made they both are for what would have been lower priced lines in their time. I love how easily their thinly ground edges sharpen up too.

Well that's my Camillus story in a nutshell. This forum has already provided me with a lot of great information and knives to look at. I look forward to being involved in the discussion here and arming myself with the knowledge to help expand my Camillus stable in the future.

Welcome Nate - I love the Camillus knives also, esp. the 4 Liners. They have many stories to tell.

Welcome aboard! I'm relatively new to Camillus knives myself. But I'll tell you this, they are not only addictive, but wonderful using knives. My favorites are the 72, 69, and 78 right now with the 69 just barely ahead of the rest. But that jack knife of yours is pretty dang awesome, I'll have to add one of them for sure.

Just watch out for Jerry, he's a dangerous man when it comes to Camillus knives. He'll have you hooked on Camillus 72's faster than you can blink an eye! They are truly the biggest little knife I've ever packed.

Who? Me? I'm as innocent as a babe in his mothers arms. ::paranoid:: It's not me. The knife does all the work.

The 72 thread was where I spent a lot of my lurking time. It is a very interesting model.

Sort of like Charlie (upnorth/waynorth) with his barlows.
