WTB: Case large sodbuster

I still need a large sodbuster or similar for a work knife. No yellow handles, no stainless blade, and nothing under 4" closed. I'm probably going to severely abuse the knife, so I would prefer to buy one used. Anyone got a likely candidate?

Thanks,
Jim

Hey Jim, I could be mistaken...but I'm thinking the Case CV large sodbusters are all yellow handled. The black handled ones are stainless.
Like I said, I could be mistaken though.

Mike, as far as I can tell, all of the current-production large sodbusters in CV are yellow-handled. "Back in the day," they made them with black handles. For what I have in mind for the knife (clearing brush along fencelines), an older (roughly, pre-1980) knife with CV blade would be preferable. The older knives were softer (more like a spring temper) and this would work better for what I need.

But I don't need a knife produced in any particular year (it is a work knife, after all). A sodbuster with black handles would be of the right era without getting into all that collector-stuff I know little about.

(And I don't like yellow handles. )

Thanks,
Jim
