If that's supposed to be a "drop point", that's a mighty pitiful, almost not there, "drop" they put on it.

I've been thinking it looks odd, Monk. Actually looks like the profile of what's used on their 71 work knives. I'd much rather see it with the regular ol' #5 drop pt.

I agree that the 'drop' is fairly weak on these, but the stag is hitting the shelves and you will have to 'drop' a fair chunk of change for it........

!!! Will be grabbing one in Natural Stag but I must say....the Stag had better be EXCEPTIONAL at this price, it's $85 more than the Northfield in bone, seems pretty high imo......

Not really a fan of the "Bull Nose" style blade on that frame ... maybe they're givin it more belly for skinning / dressing game, etc ... ?
I been wishin for a proper drop or clip-point main on the #73 jack for about 5 years now ... and they're goin in the
wrong direction!
You fellas are gonna have to go to this dance without me ...

Guys, the blades are closer in profile than it seems; here are the 23L and 23LRL side by side and on top of one another:
Look pretty close to me with the 23LRL having slightly more belly, but the drop is the same.

Was thinking the other day they need to pair those blades up in a 48 frame. Yeah, they did the big clip, but not the slender cali clip.
