All About Pocket Knives

G'day,
I'm an Aussie and about 20 years ago I bought a 3" drop point lockback folder that was marketed here as a 'Condor'. The maker had a fair range - about 3 folders; 3 or four fixed blade skinners and a few fixed blade filletting knives. The folders had stainless blades with Rockwell hardness about the 65 as I remember. The bolsters were stainless and the handles were a green fibre type material. As I couldn't afford two of his knives at the time, I did the next best thing - I bought the folder and copied the fixed blade skinning knife. I have attached a picture of it to maybe help in identifying the maker. (I have since lost the folder)
Can anyone help me by identifying the maker and maybe advise contact details?

did a yahoo search for condor cutlery and found plenty of places selling them.

I think the knives you refer to were imported by BlackJack from Japan in the 1980s. Seki City, and each knife was perhaps made by the same person, from start to finish. Here is a pic I just swiped from Ebay. I have handled a couple of them over the years, very high quality, as you'd expect from the 'old' Blackjack.

Yes, 'Hoffman' was a name associated with these knives. Hard to get straight sometimes the various brand names, manufacturers, importers and retailers who are all necessary to get a knive into the comsumers hands.

I couldn't remember the 'Hoffman' bit of the description.
I think that it was the 80 ssg that I copied. I photocopied the brochure pic to get the size ratio, and then proceeded. Used high carbon steel and had it temered by a sawmaker. That wa soutside my range of skills.
I have managed to find an 83 SSG folder, but if you can point me to any more of the series, I'd appreciate it.
