All About Pocket Knives

Hey All,

It seems recent knife sales have taken a bite on just about all of us and most of the more prominent companies as well. I suppose sales change like the weather and right now it's raining long and fast for many. A trend that seems to be very steady for at least the past (6) months. For me seems quite surprising, but then
" It what it is"

I picked up this little single blade 06 in Buffalo horn in the past week or so. Just a run of the mill Jack. When It arrived I was happy because I was not sure, nor did I expect to receive the same quality as some of the Higher end knives produced by GEC. But Once again GEC comes through. I do know there are some fine companies out there that are producing relatively consistent quality, However, IMO I think GEC is on top.... e.g.. A Top of the line say $400 knife has the same build quality as this little $60.00 Permberton Single blade. Not too shabby

I've found some of their plain simple knives to have better fit and finish than the expensive ones. I like the simple patterns myself. I've been carrying a walnut scaled jack knife for 20+ years.

Nice pemberton bonehead! I like that pattern, but I don't think it gets much attention due to its size. I believe GEC works really hard to put out quality and not just quantity, focusing on each knife individually. great product!

Loose change! ouch! Need a leather sleeve for it.
But... I suppose it would have to be custom as this one is prolly too big.
Never tried to carry one of those.

Dang I'd love to have one of those Pembertons! I missed it when they came out and on top of that my banker thinks it's a bad idea. But they sure do look like nice little pocket knives!
