I am fortunate enough to find, what appears to be. a Teletype message from a Signal Corps Soldier, in my Schrade archives.

Unfortunately I only have the document, however, it appears this Soldier was under the Command of General Wainwright on Corregidor Island, located in the Entrance to Manila Bay, Phillipines. General Wainwright surrendered his troops to the senior Japanese Officer at midnight on 6-7 May 1942. Here is a scan of the teletype message the Signal Corp Soldier sent out....I post this because he specifically mentions his knife!
