All About Pocket Knives

I got this knife with a few others I purchased. I thought it was a chip knife at first but it has good weight, brass pins, brass lined. 3 1/8" long I have seen some remington built just like it, but not the same color. (No markings)

No, that's not a Remington. It does kind of resemble the Remington straight line stamped patterns.

That's what I was thinking to.

Although I have a straight line Remington that has the same shield it looks more like a pre-shell handled Colonial or Imperial.The Remingtons had longer bolsters rather than the tip bolsters.

Can you post an "end view" that shows the bolsters?

Yeah. It doesn't look like any Colonial or Imperial that I've seen. Most of those have the "bent in" thin metal bolsters. This one doesn't appear to have that.

I'll say Imperial due to the grind of the master blade.

I might also wager Imperial, based on the "shield" installation. I think I got a knife with same cell pattern at home. It may not have a legible tang stamp on it though. Steel sharpens well, though. I'll check mine out, if I can remember to...

Actually, looking at that first couple pics, the top bolster looks thicker (wider) than most I have seen. Kind of throws off my spidey senses...now I'm not sure what it is...
