All About Pocket Knives

Thought this is going to be easy. WRONG, 1st, decide what to show. 2nd, how to arrange. 3rd, It should be easy doing photo's with all the mirrors and glass. Ha don't believe it. Any engraving you see is by a good friend of mine Robert Valade.
He lives a short haul down the coast. All around good guy and a great engraver. I have attached a link to an article about him in a small magazine. Pretty good read.

That display is nice. I don't really have anything like that. I have some up on the wall stuck to those garage/tool magnet bars. Kinda primitive but ok. I tacked together this little rack to show my different Schrade 165s. It works, because the guards are all squared off so the knives sit straight up and down alright.

A great way to display, thanks tongueriver it looks good. Thanks to all for the comments. C,mon the rest of you, someone must have some fixed blade showoffs.

edit: tongueriver I missed those two cowboy steak knives in the background the first couple of looks. They really contrast nicely.

That's very nice what you've done there Moss. Glad you could get the wife's permission.

This is the only display I have. Not fixed blade of course but I'm rather proud of it.

Good looking folders, I did sneek in an old Ka-Bar English Jack with some great stag and the older lock mechanism on the lower back. By the way I didn't have to fight to much for the space. I have been considering doing a large display in a mirror backed shadow box type case with some sort of sticky or rough substance on the bottom that will keep the cutters from sliding around which is a big hassle. That is the reason for looking for other displays. Ideas?????

THEY MAKE THAT STUFF FOR TOOL BOX DRAWERS ..that stuff keeps tools from slideing everywhere when ya open yer box......comes in rolls too.......

Doing well Will. I think we are just about through our 47 week rainy season. Just drying out and on the hunt. You mentioned shoulder holster, I have one I am going to try and find and take some flicks and post. I will be back in a while. Found this quite some time back. I imagine some folks wondered where it went. I have offered it a good life and am thinking of letting it go to another home. With the help of a very good friend from this site we managed to put together a deal with the broker. Everyone needs at least one folly in their life.

That must be a pretty rare Buck knife, never seen one like that before.

I have no idea how many were made. The maker was as stated Frank Buck brother of current CEO of Buck Knives Chuck Buck. Probably middle 60's manufacture. Story has it that the two brothers went to their Dad and received permission to make knives and sell them for some personal funds. You can check page 380 of LGIV right column photo on middle of page as it speaks of Al Buck their Dad handmaking a few Bowies from Mid to late 50's. Evidently his son was a good study.
By the way my pictured knife has been authenticated. I have the documentation.
