Old hawkbill with no mark

A friend that knows I collect recently gave me a couple knives he says that he's had laying around for years. This one has no stamp and any mark it may have had is gone(or I can't see it). The knife is 4 inches long closed, has half stops, and some nice bone handles. This thing is heavy and solid as a rock.
I was hoping someone might be able to she'd a little light on what I have.

Thanks cutty. They're thick as heck too. The thing must weigh a pound

The jigging on that looks Japanese to me.
It looks like the jigged bone used on the Sabre branded knives made in Japan.

I appreciate the feedback dale. I enjoy the curiosity factor of old unmarked knives.
