A Personal Request

It's not an easy thing for me to ask for something but here goes.
I'd been having some chest pains recently so I went to the doc who sent me to a cardiologist who said "let's run some test". I had a heart cath (angiogram) last Wed. which revealed that the artery supplying blood to the right side of my heart had become completely blocked. Next I had to go Friday to have another test run that is to determine if the collateral blood flow has been sufficient to keep that part of my heart muscle alive or if it's already dead. I go tomorrow morning to get the results of that test. If the tissue is still viable (alive) then he wants to try reopening the artery with balloon surgery and stints to reestablish blood flow to the right side of my heart. If the tissue is not viable then the only option is to treat with medication.
To be honest I'm at peace with it either way the chips fall, but obviously I'd like to get better if that's possible. That's where you folks come in. I humbly ask for your prayers.
Phil

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Phil, I will gladly talk to the Man upstairs on your behalf. Although I have never met you in person, nor any of the other AAPK members, I feel like I know you from all the online chatting we have done over the years. The AAPK members I chat with on a regular basis are but faces in a crowd, however, we all seem to share a comradery as if we met face to face. God be with you throughout your trials.

Brother Phil, you know better than that!
Jesus said; "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” - John 16:24
The Apostle James said; “You do not have, because you do not ask.” - James 4:2b
Phil you have been one of the first to pray for other people here, and I know you have been blessed for it.
Do not deny everyone in here the opportunity to be blessed while praying for you!
We WILL be praying until we get your report.
God bless you, and I know He already has;
because the peace you have about the outcome is a gift from God.

My sincere thanks for all your prayers and words of encouragement. I just got home from seeing the cardiologist. He says he thinks the heart tissue is ok and said I have other smaller blood vessels that are feeding the area impacted by the blocked artery. He put me on a couple of meds he wants to try for a month or so to see how they help my heart function. After that we're going to reevaluate the situation and he'll determine whether or not he thinks he should attempt to reopen the blocked artery and put in stints. I feel very encouraged by what he had to say and I'm very hopeful that one way or the other I'll be feeling much better in the near future.
Thank you each and every one and may God bless each of you.
Phil

Philco,
That's great news! When my wife had her heart cath. last year, the doctor said some veins or arteries had by-passed the two 100% blockages and kept her from experiencing a massive heart attack. We were told by a cardiac nurse that this condition is called a "Jesus by-pass" in some hospitals! Will continue to pray that the meds or stents will be all you need to get you back in the garden.
