A C Mark?

I have two knives stamped with 'A. C.' inside an oval. One is a little mother of pearl pen knife and the other is this jumbo (4 1/8 inch) pen knife for lack of a better term. There is no country or other marks. Looks German IMO 
Nice smooth white bone and good walk & talk with 1/2 stops so seems a quality product. Do you have any information on this mark? Thanks very much in advance.
