All About Pocket Knives

Hello ladies and gents,

I greatly appreciate all the well wishes and prayers. My surgery on March 25th didn't take properly so the doctors had to redo the entire procedure 4 days later and then I had to visit the ER with complications ..... Surgery is now completed and I am recovering as best as possible at home.

For almost 2 weeks my leg had swollen in size ... 30 inch thigh and 20 inch calf ........ while I am somewhat athletic this is not the normal me since my right leg measures 26 inch thigh and 17 inch calf ... quite a bit of difference.

Swelling has gone down, incisions look better and are beginning to itch something fierce and the doctors all say I can keep my left leg !!!!

I'm happier than a pig in slop

Once again, I very much appreciate all of the well wishes and prayers ... thank you all for thinking about me in my time of need.

Oh, with that being said .... knife collecting will have to take a back seat for a while ....... total hospital stay was 187,000.00 and I haven't got the doctor bills yet ........ lousy insurance but all will come out fine.

Keep posting all of those beautiful knives ..... at least I can look !!!!!

Dean it sounds as if you have been through a lot. Keep the faith and I am saying prayers for your complete and swift recovery.

Dave , you hit the nail on the head .... In the last 5 years .... 2 heart attacks = 5 stents in my heart and 9 vascular operations to remove blockage or to restore blood flow ... bypass operations. I hope and pray this was the last operation but the docs are looking at my right carotid next week. So far the operations have mostly been on the left side ... now they are checking my right side. Sooner or later I'll be the bionic man, LOL.

I am glad it went well and our prayers for you were answered.
The docs can do amazing things now days, but just as it has always been, healing comes from the Lord.
