I*XL Box Labels

I picked these box labels up at a little antique store in Fort Payne, Alabama. The guy at the shop didn't know whether or not they were real... but for five bucks they will look cool displayed with some old I*XL knives. Now I have an excuse to get out and hunt for some (like I needed an excuse
).

Got my first I*XL! I picked it up at the Noccalula Knife Collectors Assn. meeting Tuesday night. It's a big'un... 4 5/8 inches closed, and it has some beautiful old stag handles. More to come...

. I have one like it with the less attractive black jigged synthetic handles.

I have one old I*XL, with wonderful old stag on it. Unfortunately it is the most abused knife I have ever seen. The amount of abuse it has withstood is a testimony to the quality of the knife. It looks as if someone tried to break the blade by prying with it and only succeeded in breaking the frame. Then they ground the blade on a grinder.
The knife was given to me, but it almost made me cry to see the abuse the magnificent old knife had endured.
