I just got my hands on the new model, and was NOT disappointed! 
This knife has perfect size and blade configuration (JIMHO) and is gorgeous to boot! The tangs are square and the knife has crisp half-stops which I prefer 'cause my knives are sharp and the half-stop is a nice safety feature. Plus... GEC put the pen blade in front of the master so you don't need to turn the knife around to access the secondary blade; always a source of minor annoyance for me. 
The stag is awesome, as always, and there are quite a variety of handle materials available. I put a King Wood model in my pocket today!
