I have a Case 6185 manufactured in 1971. The chrome vanadium blade is double-struck on the name/date side. Could anyone tell me if that is common and if it affects the value?

I've never known it to hurt the value because a knife is double stamped, as long as its authentic. Most collectors seem to take an interest in these type things. I have on occassion seen double stamped knives bring more. Some folks like rare factory mistakes.
