In this photo there is two German long dress bayonet scabbards. The one on the left has an "oval" throat like all the others I have. The scabbard on the right has a kind of "square" throat and all the dress bayonets are too tight to fit in it. The photos include a US M3 next to a German dress bayonet to show the difference in width. Though not as long, the M3 fits the scabbard on the right perfectly. Anyone with more possible clues to the maker of this scabbard?
