Queen ACSB blade steel

Hello all!
Just a quick question. Queen ACSBs have D-1 Tool Steel blades, PH hardened. Is this a process (found it online via Wickipedia) or a company that performs it? Just curious. (None of us are as smart as ALL of us!)

PH is the folks that heat treat the D2. I either never knew or don't remember what PH stands for.

I think its Peters Heat Treat. IIRC they have a website.

....i think PH means "precipitation hardened", which i think means it is quenched in water, rather than oil(OH)...........

Just talked to the guy that put "PH-D2" on the first tang stamp at Queen ==> Peter's Heat
