All About Pocket Knives

I have a case XX and the model number is 63033. It's not listed in the price guide on here and I need an approximate value for trading purposes. Any help out there?

Got any pictures? A closeup of the tang stamp would greatly help.

This information will give us the time frame it was produced and the pic will help us see the condition it's in.

Could you educate me on the dots and years? I have about two hundred case knives ranging from the early seventies to date as well as buck and uncle henry and various other brands, maybe three hundred total and I don't really know that much about them truth be known. I've just always collected them. Mostly because my father has always gotten them free at work from salesmen as have I.

But any knowledge you could give me on them would be much appreciated.


But back to the original subject.

I don't have the pic but no no dots and the usa is under the Case XX.

OK . . . the knife was manufactured between 1965-1969 . . . the USA era.

Also consider getting a pricing guide. The American Premium Guide to Knives and Razors by Jim Sargent is an excellent place to start (lots of pictures, etc.) for Case, Queen / Schatt & Morgan, & Remington knives.

Your particular model # I'm not finding but a 6333 in the USA era, mint, is listed at 90 in Sargent's.

In the past, Case has added one or two zeros to an original pattern number to signify a variation of an existing pattern. These zeros can be found before the first digit, or between the blade identification number, and the original factory pattern number.

From looking at the picture, it looks like the tang stamp is 1981. A better picture would help.

63033 was first put into production in 1977...so it wont be any older than that. The 62033 and 63033 were replacements for the 6233 and 6333.

Iguess I missed something, I was looking at the pic posted by A&E sorry.

Obviously I'm not an expert as I gave some misleading information . . . thanks for steering me straight fellas, however, I'm still puzzled by the lack of dots . . . if there really are no dots, and there's a CASE XX with USA under it, isn't that the 65-69 production era? Perhaps the dots are worn off. I'm not doubting you, Knifeaholic . . . not by any means. I wouldn't dare.

Without a pic of the tang stamp,or a better description of the stamp...Its kinda hard to be exact..But like knifeaholic said,its no older than 1977.

I just looked at the pics - thats a late 80's model (note the raised letter shield, used only from 1987 to mid 1990. Dots will be alongside the SS.

SS blades on this model were introduced in 1981 or 1982.
