All About Pocket Knives

I talked to my parents this week.
They had just received confirmation from the doctor that my mom has breast cancer.
She already has non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a slow type of leukemia.
The doctor wants her to have surgery ASAP, and they are going to have that done as soon as it can be scheduled, but at 83 years of age, nothing is a sure thing.

Mom & dad are both Christians and have very strong faith. If this is the time for mom to go, she is ready and knows she is going to a much better place. But I know dad will be lost without her and we will all miss her very much.

I am asking you would pray for God's guidance of the doctors and strength of mom as she goes through surgery and probably chemo. I am asking that God would bring her through the surgery and heal her of the cancer. Please pray that what ever happens, God would be glorified in it. The doctors can do amazing things, but we know that healing comes from the Lord.

Her name is Kathryn.

So much goes through our hearts and minds when we encounter these bumps in the road and it makes it so much easier to handle when we know the spiritual condition of those envolved. Will be praying with you for your mother's healing and comfort for your family during this time. We used to hear a country gospel song that said "I'm a winner either way, if I go or if I stay". When we have the Hope of Christ these words truely come to life!

Hey Dale. Hope your mom is recovering well after surgery. Good luck and god bless!

I talked to mom & dad a couple days ago.
The doctors said the cancer was just in one spot and they are certain they got all of it.
Mom said she may not even have to have any radiation therapy.
This is definitely great news, and mom is even planning her garden for the summer; so I know she is getting back to normal!

The Lord definitely answered all the prayers for her, though if you would remember her a bit longer in your prayers it would be greatly appreciated.
