Picked up this used Hinderer XM-18 3 1/2" blade knife in trade. It's been well taken care of and I decided to do a little bit of updating. The blade was a hair off center which was an easy fix. I swapped the stainless steel standoffs with bronzed titanium standoffs and a bronzed titanium lanyard bead. Replaced the black G-10 scale with a new translucent G-10 scale and lastly, I'm sending it off to Rick Hinderer for dark bronzed anodizing to the frame and clip and sharpening. It's going to make a great edc. The last picture was taken before I began to change things.

The Generation 1's were all hand ground by Rick and I've seen them go as high as $1,900.00 depending on the blade grind.

That was the little plate that covered the hole in case you want to change the pocket clip from tip up to tip down. The skull replaced that tab. I carry and use this knife almost every day.
