All About Pocket Knives

I have been trying to do some research on what I believe is a pre WW2 Marbles Safety folding knife. This particular knife is stamped Marbles Gladstone Michigan.
I am really wondering if I should have it restored before selling it or if I should keep it as is. I have not done a thing to it as far as cleaning etc since I found it in my grandfathers tool box.
The thick stag handles seem about perfect- no cracks or chips etc. The blade seems in great condition as well so I'm not too sure if it should be messed with.
If anyone has any more info on this knife or input on restoration vs leaving it alone let me know!

Do not clean or alter the knife in any way leave that up to the new owner, you can decrease the value significantly

Thanks for the info and the welcome! - I figured as much but wanted to make sure. I have seen some that appear restored on ebay etc.

Anyone have idea on possible value? I know what some people are asking but wonder what it books for etc...

WOW ,nice knife and nice stag. Those babies go for good money, since you have seen them on ebay you have an idea but I think a knife like that you might want to entertain offers from some other source and then compare with the going rate on ebay and weight it out. You might consider an appraisal google "knife appraisals" because some knives defy economy based market values but all of this ultimately leads to the old " It's worth whatever you can get out of it" answer to worth/value. I think that unless you are selling it right this minute you should take the time to research how to stop or slow down live rust or you can try this... Put some oil on that thing, She's too nice to be dinner for rust and the blade is scratched enough to where I think your safe rubbing some oil firmly into the rusty area leaving a nice layer of oil on it to almost stop it completely. Don't clean it. Put a drop or two of oil on a clean cloth and rub it gently on the knife, especially the blades and safety arm. List it on ebay and you will get the max it is worth, if you have good pictures. In all probibility, it will be in the $700.00 range. Nice knife.
