The Tidioute #23 Amber Diamond Back is the latest in the " inaugural knives " to be released by the new company in Titusville. This is the large jumbo trapper, officially referred to as the Pioneer...the smaller #73 is the Scout.

At 4 1/2 " closed with 1095 carbon steel, this one is as smart looking as the previous issues. The Tidioute shield is pinned, no glue here , and is one of the most prominent shields you will find anywhere.

Blades are tang stamped on both sides, with an easy to read " Made in the USA ". 177 pieces are being built and is completely sold out.

The distinctive hand jigging is done in house at Titusville....something that is not common in knife making. All knives are serial numbered.

Well...it appears the "ADD A POLL " is all I can do for now...no images can be added. It may be that I do not know how to operate this feature.

Hi Bill,

I moved the site to a new server and I had to disable the picture attachment feature to make it easier. The picture attachment method should be back on track now.

Here are a few pictures I took of one of these knives.

Of all the Great Easterns I've received thus far, this one is the most impressive to me. I feel confident GEC is headed in the right direction. Fit and finish is top notch on the Amber Diamond Back 23s I've inspected. No complaints at all. All praise ::tu::
