All About Pocket Knives

cleaning out some of my fathers stuff and came across a knife I have been unable to find anything about on the net. Its a folding pocket knife, one blade 2 1/2" with a cartoonish mark of a spouting whale and Germany. The handle is white metal and is in the shape of an early jet passenger liner and on one side it is impressed with " The Flying Whale"
If anyone knows anything about this knife I would really appreciate hearing from you. Many thanks Jon Scarborough

I seem to remember seeing one of those somewhere but I can't quite remember. Anyway the flying whale was the nick name for an old boeing airplane made in the 40's:

So, unless the knife is a reproduction you can date it to that time. If you can post a picture, I'm sure everyone would love to see it.

That was the Boing 307 and it is not the plane configuration I have. The profile is more of a prop drive type but it is a jet. The jet engines look similar to the original BOAC Comet. Many thanks...really appreciate your taking the time to add input.

in my effort to id the airplane knife I was surprised to see one had sold on Ebay last month. Sold in the UK for about $40 US. Its under item# 270098773144 and it is still avail under that # if you would like to see a pic. Grateful to anyone who has an inkling about this item.
